Many public and private schools will hold "Financial Aid Nights" for graduating seniors. These informational lectures will often cover the basic topics of financial aid: the FAFSA application, the different kinds of loans available for undergraduate students and, of course, parent loans for undergraduate students.
Our workshops are different. We host workshops that give you an overview of the whole college planning system and how it works.
We conduct many FREE Community-based workshops at local High Schools and Public Libraries every year throughout the South Bay of southern California. We teach families several keys to college success, including academic strategies, admissions hints and financial aid rules.
We discuss:
- How to increase your eligibility for college funding
- How to pick colleges that give the best financial aid packages and insure a successful college experience for your student
- How to avoid the most common mistakes that can cost you thousands of dollars
- How the government determines your Expected Family Contribution (EFC) each year
Below you will find a list of upcoming workshops and their dates.
Tuesday, September 21st, 6:30pm: Torrance Airport (Zamperini Field), Meeting Room below Control Tower, 3301 Airport Drive, Torrance 90505.
